How to index number one on google within an hour.

By SteveAirCav - Posted on 01 July 2008

Rank number one on google search engine with an hour.

We are going to assume that you customised your blogging tool of choice to use the correct html tags when posting...

One quick preview later, and we can see that this blogging tool has 65 validation errors and all the wrong tags for a strong google index however, moving swiftly on.

This afternoon, when having a quick look for a script to display my 'twitter followers avatars' google search results, for any variation on the keyword search, kept leading me back to twitter counter. So suitably miffed at this, I hastily read the twitter api and wrote my own. Being the sharing type and more than a little annoyed at the misleading search results supplied by google I decided to post my little script and make it available to all that fed google those precise three words.

Indexing highly requires careful weighting of the keywords.
In order to index your post or page highly for your chosen keywords you need to write the content in such a way that google and other search engines apply the correct weighting and repetition values. In a nutshell, using the words in the correct tags adds weight. Repeat them just the right amount of times (a lot less than you would think) gives them value.

Submitting to google.
In order to get indexed quickly you have to know how and the precise format in which to submit your new content. But obviously that's a bit of a trade secret.

Indexed number one on google within an hour.
Having published my post and knocked on the front door at google, I decided to let my fellow twitters know of the new content, then sat back to watch the magic happen.

Here are the search results, as you can (assuming you are reading this as a fresh post) the results are so fresh they aren't even cached yet. However they are timestamped. So there you have it, indexed number one at google within an hour.

In summary, if this post does get approved, it should have indexed on the keywords (in the following order) 'google, post, strong, search, hour, index, number, one' however due to the element arrangement of the blogging tool it appears that 'google, search, blog, blogging, html, workconnexions' would be a search engines interpretation of the content of this page. At the end of the day, it's not all black and white when it comes to print any more.

I like it is kind of a short simply steps to checking your posts status on search engines.

I know it's bad Karma to comment on your own post, however I thought a quick update would be in order.

This post took seven hours to index, booh, However it indexed number one for the subject. That's right above Matt Cutts, boss of Google lol
